The Reel Review
In an effort to drum up interest in their struggling live streaming channel, a group of Gen Z urban adventurers calling themselves The Creepers break into an abandoned, haunted hotel rumored to contain a huge stash of mobster money. There, they must battle rival fortune hunters and a supernatural being. Adeline Rudolph (Mortal Kombat II, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), Jake Manley (The Order) and Laurence O’Fuarain (The Gentlemen) star in this supernatural horror/thriller.
The low budget Do Not Enter tries really hard to be cool and modern with its nods to online influencer culture, but despite a technically decent production and spooky setting from acclaimed music video director Marc Klasfeld (Kelly Clarkson, Kacey Musgraves, Charlie XCX, JoJo Silwa), the film itself is an absolute snoozefest, due to a weak screenplay from a team of writers whose credits include the worst movie of 2015 – the mega stinker Unfriended. Even the supernatural monster is kind of a dud.
With its poor pacing, amateurish acting, comically ridiculous and loathsome villains, and predictable action that plays like a series of clunky video game cutscenes, a more appropriate title for Do Not Enter would be Do Not Watch.

• Do Not Enter is based on David Morell’s 2005 novel, Creepers.
• The supernatural pale creature is played by 6’7, 123-pound Javier Botet, who has used his rare genetic disorder Marfan Syndrome to play supernatural creatures in such films as The Conjuring 2, Slender Man, Alien Covenant, and Mama.
• Although set in New York City, Do Not Enter was filmed in Sofia, Bulgaria.
