The Alien sci-fi film franchise is back with another installment, this time starring Cailee Spaeny (Priscilla) and Isabel Merced (Sicario: Day of the Soldado, Instant Family) as part of crew of young space colonizers and scavengers who have the misfortune of encountering a colony of face-hugging, chest-bursting aliens inside a dilapidated space station.

The film is an “interquel,” set between the now iconic, sci-fi one-two punch of 1979’s Alien and 1986’s Aliens. And from the look of the trailer, director Fede Álvarez (Don’t Breathe, Evil Dead) has succeeded in capturing the look and feel of the original two films, already prompting a big thumbs up from those directors, Ridley Scott and James Cameron.

Alien: Romulus is scheduled to hit theaters on August 16th.
