The long-awaited prequel to the apocalyptic horror blockbuster A Quiet Place will soon reveal how the alien invasion that rocked Earth began.

Michael Sarnoski, who co-wrote the original film with John Krasinski, wrote and directed this prequel, which stars Lupita Nyong’o, Joseph Quinn, Alex Wolff and Denis O’Hare. It is set in New York City, as survivors try to escape the alien invasion. There’s no word whether Emily Blunt and John Krasinski will appear in this film, but Djimon Hounsou, who appeared in A Quiet Place: Part II, reprises his role as the man on the island who helped survivors in that sequel.

A Quiet Place: Day One is scheduled to hit theaters on June 28th.
