Oppenheimer led the pack of 2024 Oscar nominations, picking up 13 nominations during Tuesday morning’s announcement in Los Angeles. Poor Things received 11 nominations, with Killers of the Flower Moon and Barbie getting 10 and 8, respectively. The most notable snubs – Saltburn, which received no nominations, and shutouts for Barbie‘s Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie for Best Director and Best Actress, ironically mirroring the entire point of their film. (Ryan Gosling was nominated for Best Actor.) Lily Gladstone made history, becoming the first Native American acting nominee, for Best Actress in Killers of the Flower Moon.

Not at all surprised with all the accolades for Poor Things. The best movie this year. Also not surprised with the snubs of Saltburn.

I guess Saltburn was just TOO much? I found it extremely original and very erotic 🌹
