Avengers: Endgame has turned last year’s global box office opening weekend record of Avengers: Infinity War to dust, raking in a whopping $1.2 billion in its opening weekend, almost double of Infinity War‘s prior record. Avengers: Endgame enjoyed a largest ever opening weekend in The United States, Canada, China, The United Kingdom, Australia, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, South Korea, France and Ireland.

The superhero film is the culmination of 21 prior films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe when began with Iron Man in 2008.

Not only does Avengers: Endgame break the global box office record, but it marks the biggest opening in the United States and Canada with a $350 million figure that eclipses Infinity War‘s $257 million. Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($248 million), Star Wars: The Last Jedi ($220 million) and Jurassic World ($208 million) now round out the top five.

The only question now is whether Avengers: Endgame will topple Avatar as the biggest global blockbuster of all time. Here are the current top five, according to Box Office Mojo:

      1. Avatar                                               $2.788 billion
      2. Titanic                                               $2.187 billion
      3. Star Wars: The Force Awakens     $2.068 billion
      4. Avengers: Infinity War                   $2.048 billion
      5. Jurassic World                               $1.671 billion
