Fear not, Star Wars fans – the first trailer for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has been unveiled.

Released to a packed crowd at Star Wars Celebration in Chicago Friday, the trailer has a few big reveals – among them, the return of Lando Calrissian (Billy Dee Williams).

Billy Dee Williams is back as Lando Calrissian.

“This movie, in addition to being the end of three trilogies, has to work as its own movie. It’s about this new generation and what they’ve inherited, the light and the dark, and asking the question as they face the greatest evil, are they prepared? Are they ready?”

-Director J.J. Abrams

The late Carrie Fisher WILL appear as Leia in the film, which is incorporating unused footage shot during the filming of 2015’s The Force Awakens, prior to her death.

Abrams did confirm that the film, which for now will be the final chapter of the nine film Star Wars franchise, takes place some time after the events of 2017’s The Last Jedi. The rest of the Star Wars library will be available on Disney’s upcoming streaming service Disney+ which will debut in November.
