The Favourite Cleans Up at the BAFTAs
The Favourite WAS the favorite at the 2019 BAFTA Awards, picking up seven trophies at Sunday’s ceremony, among them, Best British Film, Best Actress (Olivia Colman) and Supporting Actress (Rachel Weisz) as well as a number of technical awards.
Alfonso Cuarón’s Roma, however, claimed the top prize of the night, winning the BAFTA for Best Picture, as well as trophies for Best Director, Best Foreign Language Film and Best Cinematography. Actress Joanna Lumley hosted the event for the second straight year, at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
