Celebrities Among Evacuees of Historic California Wildfires
Hollywood celebrities are among the 150,000 residents being forced to evacuate their homes in Southern California, as strong Santa Ana wind-driven wildfires have quickly spread from Simi Valley towards Thousand Oaks, Westlake Village, Calabasas, Agoura Hills, and Malibu.
The Southern California fires come as an even larger fire in Northern California has destroyed 90,000 acres and leveled the town of Paradise in Butte County, killing at least 42 people there. Two bodies were found in Malibu Saturday. The fires are being called the worst in California history.
The so-called Woolsey fire in Southern California on Friday destroyed the lower house that serves at the production studio for the ABC reality TV shows The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, and was seen burning the back patio of the main house, located in Agoura Hills. as people were fleeing the neighborhood. Season 23 of The Bachelor is currently in production, but was not filming at the mansion.
Earlier in the day, the wildfires destroyed the famous Western Town film location at Paramount Ranch, which has been used by shows like Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman, M*A*S*H and Westworld.
The wildfire reportedly has destroyed the Malibu home of Caitlyn Jenner and forced the evacuation of Jenner’s stepdaughters Kourney Kardashian and Kim Kardashian West from their homes. Among those evacuated or whose homes are in the endangered area: Julia Roberts, Lady Gaga, Cher, Alyssa Milano, Iggy Azalea, Guillermo del Toro, Melissa Etheridge and Rainn Wilson.
