The Reel Review
As far as straight-to-video movies about apocalyptic, viral epidemics go, this is the rare, surprisingly good and realistic one. The story centers on a small upscale community in California that is quarantined after being infected by a global outbreak of the worm flu, sort of like if the neighborhood of MTV’s The Hills was smacked with a zombie plague. While the plot is nothing new, surprisingly good acting, decent special effects and a fun, nicely-paced story keeps it interesting, despite some glaring plot holes (like, where ARE all the parents?) and a few eye-rolling moments of ridiculousness towards the end.
