The Reel Review
Jessica Chastain stars in this true story about a couple that secretly sheltered several hundred Jews at the Warsaw Zoo during the years of WWII Nazi occupation of Poland. Despite some very poignant moments and well done cinematography, the film’s weak adaptation from the popular novel and unfulfilled character development keeps it from reaching the emotional impact expected from such a powerful story.
