The Reel Review
Scott Speedman (Felicity, Underworld) and Liv Tyler (The Lord of the Rings trilogy) star in this home invasion horror film about a young couple arriving at their remote summer vacation home late at night after a wedding, where they are quickly terrorized by a mysterious, mask-wearing trio. Writer/director Bryan Bertino keeps the tension taut, well-paced and realistic throughout this simple, straightforward thriller, gradually amping up the terror as the twosome tries to figure out why these people want to harm them. The randomness and unanswered questions add a particularly chilling element to the film and will have you checking the locks on your doors before you go to bed.
