The Reel Review
At first glance, this looks like your standard, sweet, coming of age movie about a shy, quirky high school freshman who finds his niche among a group of welcoming misfits.
But it is way more than that, artfully maneuvering through such heavy topics as sexual abuse, depression, homophobia, and bullying – and all in a way that is at times funny, painful and very real. Well done.
