The Reel Review
This remake of the hugely popular 1960s Cold War era TV spy series has all the makings of a similarly huge hit: it’s fun, stylish, clever and features solid performances by the astonishingly beautiful Henry Cavill (oh, and everyone else). Sadly, it also has director Guy Ritchie, whose now-trademark distracting, amateurish directing gimmicks and annoying penchant for gratuitous violence threatens to ruin the film at every turn. Sans the ex Mr. Madonna at the helm it would have been an A, but with him it is merely a B-
