The Reel Review
This documentary about Gene Cernan, the last astronaut to set foot on the Moon in 1972, uses a slew of fascinating archival footage and recent interviews to weave together the story of his life and the sacrifices he and his family made for space exploration, and the tragedies that claimed the lives of fellow astronauts along the way. This documentary, based on Cernan’s biography, is worth the nine year wait it took to make into a film. It is emotional, visually and historically compelling, and very inspirational.
