Grammy winner Kacey Musgraves has an Amazon Christmas special, y’all! Featuring songs from her 2016 Christmas album, A Very Kacey Christmas, Musgraves performs on a glittery, candy-coated, doll house-inspired set, channeling hair and costumes reminiscent of the campy 1970s Sonny and Cher Christmas specials.

The wonderfully silly, 45 minute show is part loving tribute and part send-up of Christmas specials of seasons past, entertaining while never taking itself seriously. Dan Levy makes a very entertaining narrator, channeling his best David-isms from the hit TV series Schitt’s Creek. The show’s standout duets are those with Camila Cabello, Zooey Deschanel, Troye Sivan (singing their new holiday song “Glittery”) and Lana Del Rey.

The sweetest (and most serious) moment is Kacey’s original Christmas tune, Christmas Always Makes Me Cry, a song Musgraves wrote to capture the sadness of the holidays for many people. But big smiles soon return when out comes Kacey’s real life Nana and a rousing finale of Ribbons and Bows that even includes The Radio City Rockettes. Yes, it is campy, corny fun! Merry Christmas, y’all!
