The Reel Review
On its surface this story about a family moving into a possessed home in rural Texas looks like a run of the mill B-grade horror flick. But this one is surprisingly stylish, has solid character development, and a pretty realistic, creepy story. Ethan Embry (Bobby Ray in Sweet Home Alabama) and Shiri Appelby (Lifetime Network’s UNReal) are convincing as the metal music loving artist receiving visions (or is it premonitions?) of bizarre occurrences and his hipster wife. While the ending is a bit disappointing, writer/director Sean Byrne has demonstrated that he is a horror filmmaker to watch.
