The Reel Review

B+

An American doctor taking a brief sabbatical while working in Laos becomes a fugitive after being caught up in a murder and rape in this low budget nail biter of a thriller. While it doesn’t break any new ground in the fugitive thriller genre, this film does have several things going for it: a convincing performance by Rossif Sutherland (son of Donald, brother of Kiefer) as our man on the run who just can’t get a break, a realistic story, and great mood setting visuals of the Laotian countryside and Mekong River, which results in a surprisingly riveting, entertaining film.
