The Reel Review

B-

A dwindling, rag-tag group of survivors in remote Northern Quebec band together to fend off the zombie apocalypse in this Netflix horror film. Writer/director Robin Aubert does some things quite well – a great setting, a realistic sense of dread, creating characters the viewer will care about and injecting the film with a sense of humor. When he tries to get artsy (i.e. zombies inexplicably gathering to gawk at a 50-foot-tall mountain of stacked dining room chairs), it’s just distractingly weird from what is otherwise a decent, albeit slow-moving, zombie flick.
