The Reel Review
This latest formulaic Disney film is the true story of a down on his luck high school football coach who ends up creating a cross country running team when he takes a teaching job in California’s rural migrant country. On its surface, it appears to be predictable schmaltz, but a surprisingly strong story and a fantastic cast will have you choking back the tears as you root for the young runners at its climax.
