The Reel Review
Halle Berry produces and stars in this action-packed thriller about a mom who gives chase (in her minivan!) through the backroads of South Louisiana after witnessing her son being abducted at a New Orleans park. To say the storyline is implausible is an understatement – between the moronic child abductors and our even more moronic panicked momma bear, each scene is more jaw-droppingly Lifetime network ludicrous than the last – but Berry channels her past damsels-turned-warriors performances from The Call and Gothika just enough to make this mindless action movie somewhat of a ride. You just might want to wait for it to park on home video before taking it for a spin.
