The Reel Review
If you are looking for a movie about a monster that “comes at night,” look elsewhere, because this is a psychological thriller about a paranoid family consumed with self preservation amidst a sparsely-described apocalyptic viral outbreak. The acting is really good and the psychological mind trip into the dark side of human nature is effective – it is just the horror film equivalent of giving someone a meatloaf instead of a cake for their birthday. And by the uber-depressing ending you will be jonesing for an emotional Silkwood shower to wash away all the yuckiness.
