The Reel Review
In our current era of play-it-safe sequels, boring remakes and mind-numbing comic book movies, it is refreshing to see Pixar ambitiously tackle such an abstract and complicated topic as human emotions, and do it in a way that is clever, endearing and yes, really funny.
Amy Poehler is Joy, one of the five emotions residing in the mind of Riley, a young girl whose world gets turned upside down when her family moves from Minnesota to San Francisco. Despite a slow second act, the ending is moving and the message thought provoking.
Stay for the credits – they are hysterical.
