The Reel Review
Fourteen years after Pixar dazzled moviegoers with the super fun, animated tale of The Incredibles, our family of superheroes is back, in a sequel that has Bob/Mr. Incredible (Craig T. Nelson) as a stay at home dad taking care of Jack-Jack (Eli Fucile) as Helen/Elastigirl (Holly Hunter) is out saving the world. All the social commentary, witty dialogue and lovable characters are back (Edna Mode, yay!) with fast-paced action punctuated with a fun, zippy score. But the sequel, while fun, lacks the cleverness of the original, with a predictable story that feels forced and is at times, a bit slow. But it does have loads of charm and make no mistake – there is one hilarious scene-stealing standout this go ‘round – tiny Jack-Jack.
