The Reel Review
The absolutely brainless premise of this hackneyed hybrid of Groundhog Day, Scream, Live Die Repeat and this year’s Before I Fall has a pretty but unpleasant college student repeatedly and ironically reliving her murder on her birthday until she can discover the identity of her killer. About halfway through, this scare-free, schlocky slasher flick reverts to a somewhat clever comedy just long enough to redeem itself somewhat before again devolving into a mindless mess of a finale.
