The Reel Review
This comedy from director Richard Linklater (on the heels of his Oscar-celebrated movie experiment Boyhood, which was filmed over 11 years) focuses on a group of college baseball players in the days leading up to the start of their school year in the 1970s. Like Boyhood, this film has no real plot – it’s just an accurate, upbeat slice of Americana, about friends making the most of those brief years before adulthood, all to an awesome soundtrack.
