At a time when some of us have grown tired of the predictable CGI-infused Marvel comic book movie blockbusters, here is a snark-filled, potty-mouthed send up BY Marvel, featuring Ryan Reynolds as unlikely anti-hero Deadpool, spouting a stream of expletives and tons of truly hilarious moments (the zamboni!), a masterfully mocking opening credits and a kick ass soundtrack. The cons? Some of the laughs fall REALLY flat and Reynolds’ narration is at times tedious. Still, a very entertaining, fresh film from the Marvel franchise.
