The Reel Review

D

A family of three living in the Hollywood Hills of Los Angeles find themselves in danger after a pack of hungry, killer coyotes set their sights on them after a rare rainstorm knocks out power to their home. Real-life couple Justin Long and Kate Bosworth star in this dark comedy/horror/thriller.

From Coyotes

There are a multitude of problems with Coyotes. Tired humor that rarely lands, pointless comic book animation introducing each character – presumably to remind us that this is supposed to be a comedy – and some fake-looking coyotes that look like the output of a low-tier AI generator are just a few of them. On top of that, the “faux”-yotes, besides targeting the family, are in pursuit of human prey so loathsome that you’ll be rooting for the CGI critters.

Kate Bosworth and Mila Harris in Coyotes

Long and Bosworth do their best to keep the story moving, but frankly, this B-grade creature feature garbage isn’t worth their time, or yours.
