The Reel Review

Sharon Stone is Senna, a middle-aged train wreck floundering in her career and in relationships in this sad, straight-to-video disaster posing as a romantic comedy. The film follows Senna on her birthday over several years in sort of a modern, single gal knockoff of the 1978 classic, Same Time, Next Year. Ellen Burstyn, who starred in that film, even appears in this flick as Senna’s mom. The distractingly weak story is broken up by periodic confessional interviews with each of the characters – and despite a few glimmers of quality, as a whole it is just weak. Sharon, we expect more.
