The Reel Review
A grieving mother agrees to shack up with an occultist in a house in remote Northern Wales for a grueling psychological ritual to contact her dead son, in this mostly two person psychological horror flick. The creepy mood creates a few moments, as we wonder whether she’s losing her mind, the victim of a staging by the occultist or truly speaking with the dead, but the film languishes to the point of snooze-inducing tedium until its bizarrely out of place final act. Save your time – the critics are wrong about this frustrating clunker.
