In the wake of the CBS announcement that it was ending The Late Show with Stephen Colbert just days after Colbert criticized CBS’s settlement of a Trump lawsuit (parent company Paramount just won the Trump-influenced FCC approval of their merger with Skydance Media), South Park, the popular satire cartoon series that appears on Comedy Central (which also is owned by Paramount) has used its Season 27 premiere to poke fun at America’s wannabe dictator.

The premiere was centered around Trump suing those who speak out against him, namely the town of South Park after parents protest the school principal’s decision to push Jesus Christ (also the subject of a Trump lawsuit) on students. The episode also skewers a cowardly mainstream news media and in particular, 60 Minutes, which was the focus of the Trump-CBS lawsuit settlement. The episode also shows Trump begging for sex from Satan as well as a deepfake-assisted PSA where Trump appears fully nude, sporting a talking micro penis.

The premiere aired just after South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone signed a new five-year, $1.5 billion deal with Paramount that will include 50 new episodes and streaming of the popular series on Paramount+ for the first time. The White House has slammed the show, in a statement saying “this show hasn’t been relevant for over 20 years and is hanging on by a thread with uninspired ideas in a desperate attempt for attention.”

It appears as though South Park has succeeded… again.
