A third Downton Abbey film is coming.

Oscar-winning Gosford Park screenwriter Julian Fellowes, creator of the popular hit TV series and last two films, is back again as writer, with BAFTA and Emmy award nominee Simon Curtis, who directed 2022’s Downton Abbey: A New Era, also returning to direct.

“It’s wonderful to be back together again. You come back together and it’s like no time has passed at all.” -Michelle Dockery, who plays Lady Mary.

Monday’s announcement comes after Imelda Staunton recently confirmed to the BBC that the third, final film was in the works. There’s no word yet on when it will hit theaters worldwide.

The original cast will be joined by Paul Giamatti, Joely Richardson, Alessandro Nivola and Simon Russell Beale.
