Well hello, angels!
The two original surviving Charlie’s Angels, Kate Jackson and Jaclyn Smith, have made a rare appearance together – Jackson’s first public sighting in 14 years.
Jackson, 74, attended the wedding of 77-year-old Smith’s son Gaston in Los Angeles over the weekend. The last time Jackson was seen in public was in 2009, when Jackson and Smith attended the funeral of their original Charlie’s Angels co-star Farrah Fawcett, following her death from cancer.
Jackson, who starred as Sabrina Duncan on the wildly popular show, left Charlie’s Angels in 1979, after the third year of the show’s five-year run.
“I’d had it with Hollywood’s long hours, the politics, the backstabbing, and the gossip. It was not a great town for having your feet on the ground and living a normal life,” -Kate Jackson in a June 2022 interview with Closer Weekly.
After surviving three marriages and two bouts with breast cancer, Jackson left Los Angeles in 1995 for a quieter life with her adopted son on a farm in Keswick, Virginia, just east of Charlottesville. With an acting resume that included two other hit series, Scarecrow and Mrs. King and The Rookies, Jackson’s last acting role was on a 2007 episode of Criminal Minds.
Charlie’s Angels has spawned three films over the years – two starring Drew Barrymore, Lucy Liu and Cameron Diaz, and a 2019 reboot directed by Elizabeth Banks.
