The Reelness

The first-ever German adaptation of Erich Maria Remarque’s iconic, 1928 WWI story All Quiet on the Western Front was the big winner at Sunday evening’s BAFTA Awards in London, winning Best Film and Best Director among its total of seven awards in the annual celebration of the best in British and international film.

The Banshees of Inishirin won four BAFTAs, including Outstanding British Film, while also sweeping the Supporting Acting categories. Also picking up four BAFTAs was Elvis, which saw Austin Butler win the Best Actor prize.
