The Reel Review

B+

When the college “Flossy Posse” foursome reunites years later for a wild Essence Fest weekend in New Orleans, crazy fun follows. Regina Hall, Queen Latifah and Jada Pinkett Smith all deliver loads of laughs and have great chemistry, but it is Tiffany Haddish, in a star making role, who slays as the uproariously funny, potty-mouthed party girl, Dina. And while the transition from raunchy humor to female empowerment is a bit clunky and predictable, and the two hour story a bit long, it still has lots of heart, and is easily the funniest movie of the summer. You’ll never look at grapefruits the same way again.
