The Reel Review
A determined local cafe owner and fellow travelers turn the ruined, non-refundable honeymoon of a groom abandoned at the altar in Rome into an adventure he never expected. Kevin James, Nicole Grimaudo (Diamonds, Loose Cannons) and Alyson Hannigan (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) star in this romantic comedy.

This winsome film has everything you’d expect in a rom-com, from gorgeous visuals of Rome and Tuscany, some surprising reveals, and a sweet, likeable couple to root for. James’s initially timid, elementary school art teacher plays nicely to Grimaudo’s infectiously charming and poised, Aubrey Hepburn-like cafe owner.

While the film is largely formulaic and at times corny, Solo Mio is a breezy, predictably fun time that has a couple of refreshing twists in the third act, and will almost certainly leave you in a cheerier mood than when you started it.
