A popular high school bad boy (Shane West) falls for ridiculously sweet, unpopular Baptist preacher’s daughter (Mandy Moore) who’s harboring a secret. Yeah, it’s just as corny and schmaltzy as it sounds, but unless you are completely devoid of emotion, you WILL cry. Moore is on point as the star of this sugary sentimental teen romance, who unwittingly changes the lives of those around her, reaffirming that there may be hope for humanity after all. The Moore-infused soundtrack is also excellent.
