The Reel Review
A family holiday on a remote Swedish island with a notorious past and unfriendly residents takes an even stranger turn when it is discovered that a serial killer is loose on the island, in this horror/comedy written by and starring Nick Frost (Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead).

Anyone looking for the fun, goofy humor of Frost’s prior films is going to be very disappointed in this meager, weird film. Other than an occasional chuckle, the humor in Get Away is largely lacking and the big reveal of the serial killer’s identity in the final half hour is not all that surprising.

The film goes completely off the rails in its third act, with a focus more on a blood-splattered killing rampage than anything resembling actual storytelling. Get Away misses the mark in a huge way, its trailer (below) way more entertaining than the actual film.
